New Skis and the first winter storm hits the San Juans
With fresh snow on the ground in Telluride and a winter storm warning posted Mister Natural strikes again! Just after production the “little brother” of last years Alpenglow ski rests at Pete Wagner’s factory. At 10 millimeters skinnier, 10 centimeters shorter and a nice dose of rocker in the tip, this is the everyday ski for on and off piste in Telluride. If you are like us this is the time to start getting real revved up for the season!
Here Dan proudly shows off the product. We could hardly be luckier than to have such amazing support from our local and brilliant ski company. Here is the link for Pete’s skis one more time. They are the best! http://www.wagnerskis.com/
The full length view; touring the facility with my Mom. About the tips of the ski, being ski instructors we are very excited at the industry wide embrace of rocker this season. The whole thing seems to be heading in the right direction; ours! Here is a link to the national ski school association’s Rocky Mountain Division. http://www.psia-rm.org/ Check it out. Lets go skiing soon.
Hot Tub Time Machine!
Hot Tub Time Machine!
This sweet pair of skis was made to order by Pete Wagner for the film Hot Tub Time Machine last year. They have a retro graphic but the new boards are brand new. Check out a trailer of the movie http://www.imdb.com/video/screenplay/vi1359873817/ This is funny stuff and of course it is great to see John Cusack back on skis in film! There are more shots from Pete’s factory on our facebook page (click the icon on the bottom of the page), please have a look.
Now is a great time to plan this season’s ski adventure!
Please contact us today about this season’s ski safari’s. Big grins, big fun. The smile on Mike’s face says it all! Check out the Glacier Express trip. It is lined up perfectly for the end of January. Flims/Laax, Disentis and Andermatt, an excellent trio of authentic Swiss ski villages. Call or look on line for more info.
New website for Alpenglow Ski Safaris!
As Daniel peers into the future, a new website is in the works for our ski tour company. We have been wanting to upgrade our presence on the web and it is finally going to happen. Please stay tuned everybody. In other great news it is still snowing in Telluride, the lifts have been closed for almost two weeks but the good skiing continues.
